Journey

It is amazing how much stuff we have from over 30 years of boating together. We have been placing things in plastic tubs to take to Rhode Island next spring. Journey came to us with a lot of supplies on board. . . which helps cut down the amount of stuff we plan on traveling with. We have a couple of important projects to complete before we had out on our loop adventure.

We had to take down the radar arch for storage. The arch is about 200 pounds and we had two strong men helping us get it down. Well, we have to put it back up. We could hire two strong men to help us, however, they will not be with us on our trip. Kevin with some great ideas from folks at the American Tug factory is working on an apparatus that will winch the arch up and back into place.

The other project to be completed is installation of two new chart plotters. The current ones are outdated so we decided it was time for an upgrade.

We are sure we will be busy working on Journey before she goes back into the water.
